I can only hope that, among the 880,000 evacuees of the California wildfires, some of the human hating, civilization despising, misbegotten 'environmentalist asshats are also suffering property loss.

Court-ordered mandates brought on by the Sierra Club et al preventing the simple clearing of dead brush are largely responsible for this Katrina-scale disaster. The same folks who insist that man must not interfere with nature are partly responsible for this debacle.

If anything positive may result from this tragedy we can hope that sane, grown-up and responsible legislation can be brought that will forever allow the thoughtful stewardship of undeveloped land.
